Because she is a Christian and refuses to convert to Islam our sister, Asia Bibi, has been sentenced to death in Pakistan.  Let’s help free her by signing VOM’s petition, which will be delivered to the Pakistani Embassy in Washington D.C.

I came across this article today and thought it was really cool.  The Paia Youth & Cultural Center is reaching and connecting their area’s young people in quite a unique way with their low power FM community radio in Maui, Hawaii.  Imagine the possibilities if more LPFM stations like KOPO-LP were on today’s radio landscape.

And while we’re on the subject of youth and radio, take a visit over to The HopeLine (for teens) and His Kids Radio (for children).  And for information on setting up your own LPFM station, get in touch with the people over at Christian Community Broadcasters and the Promethius Project.

Saving Faith

Ever ask yourself if you really are saved in Christ?  True saving faith always produces obedience and submission to the Lordship of Christ (and to God’s Word).  We are to examine ourselves (1 Corinthians 11, 2 Corinthians 13, James).  As we examine our own salvation, we should ask “Am I growing in the holiness of Christ and maturing in the knowledge of His Word?”

Scripture is so full and rich.  Any believer who does not immerse himself or herself in it doesn’t know what they’re missing and ends up losing blessings and opportunities to serve the Lord.
