Saving Faith

Ever ask yourself if you really are saved in Christ?  True saving faith always produces obedience and submission to the Lordship of Christ (and to God’s Word).  We are to examine ourselves (1 Corinthians 11, 2 Corinthians 13, James).  As we examine our own salvation, we should ask “Am I growing in the holiness of Christ and maturing in the knowledge of His Word?”

Scripture is so full and rich.  Any believer who does not immerse himself or herself in it doesn’t know what they’re missing and ends up losing blessings and opportunities to serve the Lord.

One Response to “Saving Faith”

  1. ‘Am I growing in the holiness of Christ and maturing in the knowledge of His Word?”

Good question! If I am not growing in holiness, than am I truly saved? The Holy Spirit works in every believer to transform them into the image of Christ. He doesn’t take any days off. If you are not growing in your desire to be like Christ, who have you surrendered your life to?
